ingredients

4 Servings
420 g canned tuna, in oil or water, drained
180 g mayonnaise
2 stalks celery stalks, finely chopped
0.3 medium red onion, finely chopped
2 medium dill pickles, finely chopped
15 ml Dijon mustard
15 ml fresh lemon juice
2.5 g salt, to taste
1 g freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Steps

1

Prepare Ingredients

Prepare all ingredients: drain the canned tuna thoroughly, then flake it with a fork in a medium-sized bowl. Finely chop the celery stalks, red onion, and dill pickles.

2

Combine

Add the mayonnaise, chopped celery, red onion, and dill pickles to the flaked tuna. Then, stir in the Dijon mustard and fresh lemon juice. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly combined.

3

Season & Serve

Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve immediately, or refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Excellent in sandwiches, wraps, on a bed of lettuce, or with crackers.

Extra Tips

For the best flavor, let the salad chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving, allowing the flavors to meld.

If you like a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a little finely chopped jalapeño.

Experiment with other fresh herbs like chopped parsley or dill for an even fresher taste.
