ingredients
Steps
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C for fan-assisted ovens). Peel the potatoes and cut them into roughly 2-3 cm cubes. Peel and slice the red onion into half-rings, and crush or finely chop the garlic. Slice the sausage into rounds.
Seasoning & Baking
In a large baking tray, combine the potatoes, red onion, crushed garlic, oil, sweet and smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Spread them evenly in the tray. Arrange the sausage slices on top. Pour in the water or broth.
Bake & Serve
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and golden brown, and the sausage is nicely browned. Halfway through, after about 25-30 minutes, carefully stir the potatoes to ensure even browning. Serve hot with pickles or sour cream.
Extra Tips
► Cut the potatoes into uniform sizes so they cook evenly.
► If you like it spicy, add a pinch of hot paprika to the seasoning.
► Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving for an even fresher taste.
