ingredients

4 Servings
400 g Fresh pizza dough (roll)
120 ml Pizza sauce or passata
200 g Shredded mozzarella cheese
50 g Shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
1 tsp Dried oregano
0.5 tsp Garlic powder (optional)
1 tbsp Olive oil (for brushing)
0 to taste Salt
0 to taste Freshly ground black pepper

Steps

1

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 190°C (170°C for fan-assisted ovens). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface, shaping it into a rectangle.

2

Prepare Filling

Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese, then dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

3

Roll and Slice

Carefully roll up the dough tightly from the longer side to form a log. Using a sharp knife, cut the log into slices about 2-3 cm thick. Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a small space between them.

4

Bake

Brush the tops of the rolls with a little olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Extra Tips

Experiment with different cheeses like provolone or gouda for an even richer flavor.

Add finely chopped ham, salami, or mushrooms to the filling if you want to make them more substantial.

You can prepare the rolls in advance and store them in the fridge for 1-2 hours before baking.
